The year was 2004 when Bret Harrison, an actor living in Los Angeles, spotted Lauren Zelman, a striking natural beauty, at a dimly-lit, crowded party. "Two minutes after meeting Lauren, she asked me to hold her drink as if we had been married for years," Bret says. Lauren, a brand manager for Jessica Simpson's fashion line, was instantly smitten by Bret's charming demeanor and infectious sense of humor.

The twosome found their dream wedding venue in the Parker Palm Springs Hotel, a luxe desert outpost known for its Old Hollywood-meets-new bohemia vibe. Upon entering the grounds on a site visit, Lauren fell in love with the cool setting, made to feel like a desert oasis with woven hammocks and stone pools. "The Parker has a lemonade stand, bocce ball field, ping pong tables and fire pits," Lauren says. "It felt like summer camp with all our favorite people." The bride called upon Jo Gartin of Love, Luck and Angels Event Design & Coordination to arrange all of the sweet details of the event.

Lauren was a stunning vision in a delicately beaded Jenny Packham gown with a long mantilla veil in her light brown hair.

The bridal party was gorgeous; dressed in Jessica Simpson Collection from head-to-toe (Ashley Simpson was the bride's maid of honor). They each held a dainty bouquet of pale pink and crisp white garden roses.

The afternoon ceremony was held in the lush hotel gardens marked by a custom-made reclaimed wooden aisle. A canopy of homespun paper fans hung overhead.

The florists at Eden Rodriguez Event Design arranged a lush bridal bouquet of velvety pink and peach garden roses.

The pair adhered to a romantic palette of dusty rose, baby pink and powder blue to add a feminine touch to the streamlined hotel design.  Tall glass cylinders wrapped in Japanese washi paper lined the aisle, brimming with white hydrangeas.
