Mixologists at boutique cocktail company, Garnish Events, serve up old classics with a new spin in frosted martini glasses.

The sleek surroundings of Hale Honu, a private estate tucked away on Maui’s southernmost coast, provided just the setting for a poolside reception inspired by the midcentury modern design ethos of Palm Springs, California. The styling cues—and hues—of the day were dictated by renowned interior designer and décor guru Jonathan Adler, known for his refreshing mix of wit and whimsy in everything from pottery and furniture to bedding, stationery and hotel design. Over the years, his name has become ubiquitous with the Old Hollywood-meets-new-bohemia vibe of Palm Springs, where he famously lent his worldly aesthetic to the Parker Palm Springs Hotel.

A white lacquer table is topped with the Elizabeth Greek Key dinnerware from Jonathan Adler’s lifestyle collection for JC Penney, Happy Chic. Florist Mandy Grace played up the punchy color scheme by introducing splashes of sunshine yellow in designing the floral centerpieces. Gold urchin wall sculptures, originally made by metalwork artist C. Jeré in the 1960s, are cleverly used as place card holders (available at HUE).

Jonathan Adler’s Happy Chic Lola vases are brimming with a monochromatic mix of ranunculus, calendula, kangaroo paw and spray roses. Custom-made brass vessels house succulents.

When it comes to Hawaii beach life, Acacia Swimwear reigns as one of the country's most recognized swimwear lines and a mainstay of Maui beach culture. Vanessa is gorgeous in Acacia’s Positano crochet maxi dress
in vanilla, holding a striking bouquet of green hydrangea, yellow kangaroo paw, ranunculus, spray roses and bells
of Ireland.

Ceci New York created an invitation suite that combines the vibrant citrus color palette with an interpretation of the Greek Key pattern found on Adler’s dinner plates.

Vanessa welcomes guests by the pool in a Hawaiian print dress by couture designer Jeffrey Yoshida. Based in Honolulu, Yoshida’s dresses are heralded for their precise detail and effortless sophistication, and this one was inspired by Audrey Hepburn.

The chefs of Maui Executive Catering push the creative envelope with their delectable dishes that always
look as amazing as they taste.

Playing off the citrus splashes found throughout the décor, Garnish Events created a festive Hawaiian shaved ice display in guava, lilikoi, tangerine and watermelon flavors. Model Vanessa Vanderpool wears Tori Praver's Cabazon bikini and Juicy Couture sunglasses.

Kauai designer Tori Praver brings back the demure high waist bikini with her Kenny suit, perfectly paired with a vivacious floral swim cap, a whimsical nod to the '50s by Mandy Grace.
