Lauren was a stunning vision in a delicately beaded Jenny Packham gown with a long mantilla veil in her light brown hair.

The bridal party was gorgeous; dressed in Jessica Simpson Collection from head-to-toe (Ashley Simpson was the bride’s maid of honor). They each held a dainty bouquet of pale pink and crisp white garden roses.

The afternoon ceremony was held in the lush hotel gardens marked by a custom-made reclaimed wooden aisle. A canopy of homespun paper fans hung overhead.

The pair adhered to a romantic palette of dusty rose, baby pink and powder blue to add a feminine touch to the streamlined hotel design.  Tall glass cylinders wrapped in Japanese washi paper lined the aisle, brimming with white hydrangeas.

Bret couldn’t hold back his emotions when he caught a glimpse of his blushing bride. “I was trying to keep it together but it was impossible— she looked so beautiful,” he says.

The groom attached a love letter to Lauren’s bridal bouquet as a tender surprise. Lauren’s godson kicked off the wedding processional in style as an adorable ring bearer.

The florists at Eden Rodriguez Event Design arranged a lush bridal bouquet of velvety pink and peach garden roses.

To keep the energy going late into the evening, a French antique coffee cart served up warm drinks by Longshot Café. “Our dance floor was the hot spot all night!” Lauren says. From the onset, the groom’s wish for his wedding was “to throw a big party” and they succeeded. The bride says, “Throughout the evening, Bret and I stepped away several times to look back at the party and really take in the magic. Our wedding was the epitome of romance.”

To add to the zany beginnings, the duo’s English bulldog Matilda (donning a precious pink tutu), chased after him barking down the aisle. “As I waited for my entrance, I smiled to myself thinking how perfect it was...those unexpected moments were my favorites,” the bride says.

The lawn was transformed into a “cozy living room” beneath the desert sky with tufted white lounge furnishings and wooden shelves housing the pair’s coffee table books. Mismatched silk pillows, old typewriters and vintage suitcases established the theme.

Guests traversed the lawn for a cocktail reception, where fresh libations were served on custom napkins bearing witty and playful comments from the newlyweds.

Designer Jonathan Adler famously lent his eclectic and worldly aesthetic to the Parker Palm Springs Hotel's mid-century modern interiors.
