Aline and Samuel hail from Switzerland where they hosted an over-the-top hometown affair last year. For their Maui celebration of love, they  wanted to do the exact opposite and opted for a relaxed, barefoot-on-the-beach ceremony with their closest family and friends. Maui photographer  Angie Diaz was on-hand to capture the stunning model and her snowboarder beau. Sam has been traveling to Maui for nearly a decade to surf and work with a local ministry. Aline, a professional model,  had always dreamt of being married by the sea.

"My dress was one of the most important elements for my wedding. I wanted it to be absolutely unique so I had my mother design and make it-- she is stylist who completely understood my needs. I wanted an all lace gown with an open back that was fluid and light."

Our vision for the day was to be able to share this special moment with our family in the place that we love. The people in Hawaii are so amazing and full of love and generousity. For the flowers, I knew the location was gorgeous enough so we kept them simple and natural. The sunset was the focal point. Everybody pitched in to make the beach ceremony beautiful. The couple's pastor Hardy made the tropical ceremony arch with palm fronds. The couple painted the reclaimed wooden chairs to match the setting.

Our photographer Angie perfectly captured the moment-- our photos were a dream!
