With Hawaii as our home base, we are no strangers to tropical style. Palm fronds, ferns, and other island foliage are certainly having their moment with the design set and this photo shoot from Southern California's wedding creatives proves just how chic tropical can be. Floral designer and event stylist Christa Rose shares her vision with us, "Breaking away from the expected brightly-colored, orchid-adorned tropical wedding, we wanted to modernize the look by using bold banana leaf fabric and gold accents on the low dining table with floor pillows. We used the banana palm print as our inspiration, which was pictured on the invitaiton suite and menu cards by Luminous Lines. The place cards featured gold calligraphy in keeping with the natural, botanical vibe."
Florist Kristen of Petal and Joy created luscious green and white arrangements, incorporating some cool air plants for an earthy look. A single giant air plant acted as the cake topper for the naked cake created by Nicci Julian. Megan Jeanne Photography beautifully captured every tropical detail.
