Pulling fashion looks for our editorial shoots is one of the best parts of our job. The location we selected for our story A Return to Glamour in the summer edition was Hale Honu, a private estate tucked away on Maui’s southernmost coast. The styling cues—and hues—of the day were inspired by the midcentury modern design ethos of Palm Springs, California. The old Hollywood-meets-new-bohemia vibe of Palm Springs means bold color, pattern and shine in fashion. We went totally retro for the swimwear looks (find the credits below). Enjoy! When it comes to Hawaii beach life, nothing makes a statement like Acacia Swimwear, one of the country’s most recognized swim lines and a mainstay of Maui beach culture.
