Rancho Las Lomas is one of Southern California's most charmingly elegant private resorts tucked away in the foothills of Silverado.  Since the groom's soon to be bride was attending medical school in Chicago during the wedding planning process, Asher took on the task of finding a wedding locale. The couple originally hoped to wed along California's central coast where their families live. After a venue search turned up empty, they looked to Santa Barbara's chic hotel scene. When Asher came across the gardens at Rancho Las Lomas, he knew it was the place. Event planner and designer Lindsay of LVL Events handled all of the colorful, vintage-inspired details of the day.

The first dress that Candace ever tried on was the dress of choice. She wore a stunning ivory lace and tulle Lazaro
gown from the boutique Mon Amie.

Candace's bridesmaid's were lovely in deep pink, strapless magenta floor-length gowns. The girls selected their own shoes and jewelry.

The bride didn't step foot in the beautiful gardens of Rancho Las Lomas until they booked the location. "It was peffect— I loved it the moment I saw it," she says. The couple said their vows in the open-air theater nestled under ancient oak and sycamore trees. A rustic chuppah adorned in an asymmetrical design of abundant flowers was positioned beneath the marbal ceremonial stage.

Candace's opted for a traditional veil during the ceremony. She wanted her groom to see her face as she walked down the aisle she wore it over her loose wavey hair. Florist Larissa at Inviting Occasion created whimsical, vibrant arrangements for the day. The bride's direction for the blooms, "imagine you have the opportunity to pick flowers from the most beautiful garden in the world," and she was blown away by the colorful scene.

After the ceremony, Asher and Candace changed into their favorite pair of slip-on checkered Vans for a fun touch.

The five-tier ivory cake with gold foil detailing and large sugar roses was by A Wish and a Whisk. The couple's flavors of choice: turtle caramel walnut, peanut butter chocolate and Jamocha almond fudge, were absolutely decadant.

The team at Inviting Occassions help adorn the outdoor space in moody candlelight, vintage vessels, antique lanterns, wooden planters and cafe lights.
