As vivid as flowers from a Dutch master's canvas, the designs of Christina Hartman of Wildheart Floral & Event Design are rich with texture and consistently evoke an Old World vibe. Drawn to tropical flowers and inspired by the colors and dimensions found in nature, Christina uses seasonal botanicals, blooms, fruit and organic elements in her artistic arrangements. She describes her passion, "My intention is to showcase the unique and lovely nature that gives Hawaii its beauty and splendor." Below, Hawaii photographer Chris J. Evans captures her magnificent display of dark red ranunculuses and black Baccara red roses in a large silver urn.

The bride’s bouquet is a sweet mix of peach Juliet garden roses, phalaenopsis orchids dotted with kupukupu fern. An antique chair by Signature Boutique Event Rentals is a pretty accent piece.

We love the unexpected mix of Hawaiian ferns and classic roses. A rustic farm table and French bistro chairs by Signature Boutique Event Rentals completes the romantic scene.

Photographer Chris J. Evans draws from his background in editorial and fashion photography to capture the chemistry between Jamie and Nicolo, who are engaged to be married soon. Three years ago during an evening out, the professional kite boarder first saw Jamie, an artist and jewelry maker, dancing under twinkling lights in a Maui courtyard. Mustering up his courage, Nicolo introduced himself and they fell quickly in love. Traveling between homes in Italy and Maui, the two enjoy time surfing and painting together and can't wait to share their upcoming wedding. We wonder, which side of paradise will they choose? ;)

Jamie’s wedding dress is an alluring two-piece lace bodice above a silk chiffon and tulle skirt with subtle gold accents. Local Maui designer Charlene Quan of True Story Company designed the dress specifically for Jamie. Charlene says, “I wanted to make something that would reflect Jamie’s youthful sensuality and still play to the dream of getting married in a fairytale gown."
