There is something so charming and naturally stunning about Carmel Highlands, California. When we saw Peer Johnson's images of the Spindrift Estate, we had to share this incredible private oceanfront wedding destination.  The historical estate, tucked away on Spindrift Road, is one of the original oceanfront homes in Carmel. Deemed a landmark, the home sits on 4 acres of rugged, private California shoreline with views of Point Lobos. Towering Cypress shelter the stone wall and classic architectural lines of the manor house and separate guest house, which exude a sense of history and are steeped in character.

Haley and John were introduced by Haley's horseback riding trainer and it was "love at first sight," according to the gorgeous bride. John proposed during a romantic snowy weekend in Yosemite National Park. They wanted to share California's natural landscape with their wedding guests (the stunning Big Sur along California's Highway One was just under 30 miles from the wedding location). "I've seen my fair share of spectacular oceanfront properties and this one is at the top," says photographer Peer Johnson. "The only thing that upstaged the unrivaled natural surroundings, was the beauty of the bride and the groom. Such a charming setting for a natural and organic outdoor wedding.
