Yasmin Dar is all too familiar with the saying a picture is worth a thousand words. The vivacious beauty is no stranger to capturing precious moments on camera, having spent most of her life in front of the lens as an actress, model and journalist with a penchant for social media. When she met Sal Fasi, a handsome businessman, their balance of opposites was undeniable. A romantic courtship blossomed from a shared workplace into a steadfast friendship. Yasmin says, “I’m more of a firecracker and he’s a mellow guy. While I act on impulse and am in the moment, Sal is more methodical.” She continues, “He taught me how to be calm and I like to think I gave him a little more excitement!” Their unique personalities found them sharing quiet moments getting lost in each other, a sign that a lifetime of treasured moments lay before them.

While enjoying a day at their favorite beach on the North Shore of Oahu, Sal gifted his sweetheart a sentimental photo book of their journey together, woven with song lyrics from “It Had To Be You.” Unbeknownst to Sal, a couple had just renewed their vows at Papailoa Beach moments before they arrived leaving a bed of flower petals in the sand. As Yasmin flipped through the book, she came across a page that read, “There’s one more thing I have to ask you. Will you marry me?” Sal presented his true love with a stunning diamond ring. Overwhelmed with emotion, the brunette beauty gladly accepted.
