When an interior designer marries a Nike athletic apparel designer the result is sure to be stylish. Enter Brianna and Ben Kirschner who wed at Maui’s Olowalu Plantation House in the springtime. The design savvy couple’s vision for the day was inspired by their love for thrifting vintage pieces. The bride says, “We love industrial pieces, ornate frames and rustic wood— most of our home is furnished with vintage pieces that Ben and I have hand-picked (old steamer trunks, salvaged barn wood table, an old tattered US flag from the early 1900s). We really just wanted to bring our home to the islands.” Brianna came across the private estate online and was thrilled with the venue in person. She says, “Bringing vintage elements to the property was easy. However, trying to put a feminine flare on industrial pieces was a bit intimidating to tackle. I don’t get giddy about girly things but I wanted a certain elegance to balance out the rustic and industrial pieces.Mandy Grace Floral + Event Design incorporated succulents into the flower arrangements  to hit that perfect balance.

The couple designed their save-the-dates, invitations and keepsakes including baseball caps and jewelry for the bridal party. The groom even designed a custom logo for the newlyweds. In lieu of a traditional guest book, they used vintage shoe molds for guests to write messages of love. ”All of it came together perfectly,” Brianna says.
