Daniel and Mai met during a summer in college. Sparks immediately flew, and they began dating soon after. The couple dated through the end of college and through Mai's time in graduate school while Daniel worked.

When they were ready to begin their life together, rather than planning a traditional proposal, the couple threw themselves an engagement party to celebrate with their family and friends!

Mai spent her childhood in Hawaii and loved the idea of welcoming their loved ones to the lush island of Oahu to celebrate their pending marriage. The wedding itself was hosted at the Paliku Gardens at Kualoa Ranch, complete with a winsome view of Mokolii island.

The ceremony was incredibly romantic. Daniel and Mai said their vows beneath a draped gazebo covered in an abundance of foliage and blush roses. Destination wedding photographer Kerry Jeanne Photography captured every  important moment from their gorgeous day.

The wonderful planners of Moana Belle created an effortlessly beautiful wedding day using a color pallet of blush, ivory, and fern green with little pops of raspberry. Each table was decorated with magnificent floral arrangements by Passion Roots of light pink, ivory, and raspberry colored roses, spray roses, white peonies, hydrangea, and white phalaenopsis orchids with delicate greenery in stunning gold vases and had an antique pressed glass table number.

Cocktail hour followed the ceremony, with a long white washed wood bar. Guests sipped on the couple's specialty cocktails- "Mai" Tai's and Old Fashioned's - and enjoyed delicious island hors d'oeuvres as they were serenaded by a live musician.

Following dinner, the couple surprised their guests with an array of entertainment -
Tahitian dancers, hula dancers, fire dancers, and hula lessons. As the party got lively,
the couple joined their guests on the gold monogramed dance floor to dance the night
away at the base of the Ko'olau Mountain Range.
